I lost N12m to burglars , says Saraki

ABUJA - SENATE President, Bukola Saraki, Sunday,
said he lost the sum of N12 million from his
administrative office in Kwara State to burglars two
weeks ago.

Saraki's disclosure of the amount, was in response to a
report by SaharaReporters, an online platform, that
thieves stole his money running into several millions of
naira recently.

But the Senate President said he had since informed
the Kwara State Police Command of the development,
saying he was awaiting report of investigation into the
matter.

In a statement, entitled : "SaharaReporters' Story Full
of Falsehood and Exaggeration",
posted on his website, through his Special Adviser,
Media and Publicity, Yusuph Olaniyonu, Saraki said the
online medium' version quoting the lost sum of money
as being in several millions of naira was exaggeration.
