Ekiti residents attack Fayose over corruption allegations

Residents of Ekiti state on Friday, June 24, have taken
to the streets of the state to protest against their
governor, Ayodele Fayose.

The governor, who has been in the news for the very
wrong reasons in the past few days, is being asked to
return the loots he embezzled from the state’s
treasury.

From his account being frozen to allegations of
corruption against the First Lady, Aisha Buhari, and to
counter claims on the source of his election funding,
Fayose has not managed to escape challenges in the
last few days.

This was further heightened on Friday when the people,
with their placards, expressed their disappointment in
their governor’s administration, urging the anti-
corruption battle against him to continue as they are
yet proceeds of his governance since he became their
head.
